As I spend a lot of time traveling, I have a lot of time on my hand to listen to Podcasts. Here is a list of my favorite Podcasts.
5 Minuten Harry Podcast (German): In this podcast, the OG German YouTuber ColdMirror looks at 5 minutes of the Movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and over-analyzes it. As someone who grew up with Harry Potter and is interested in how filmmakers make movies, I love this pod.
Brainpain (German): My favorite German comedy podcast. Timon and Flo discuss different topics. It does not matter if they talk about Flo’s little nephew or YouTube drama.
Gate 7 – Fernweh und Fotographie (German): The host talks to different people about combining travel and photography. It is an excellent way to dream of different cultures and countries during my everyday commute.
Logbuch Netzpolitik (German): Tim and Linus give an excellent summary of digital rights and cultural events every week. They focus on Germany and Europe.
Pod Save America (English): A podcast by four former Obama staffers talking about the current US news and politics.
Security Now (English): This podcast informs its listeners about the latest news about computer security.
Servus. Grüezi. Hallo. (German): The “transalpine” Podcasts are three guys from the big German-speaking countries (Sorry Lichtenstein) who talk about political and cultural themes and how they are handled and perceived across the lands.
Tatami Talk (English): As you might know, I started doing Judo when I was five years old. Therefore I am very interested in what other people think about my favorite sport. The two hosts are two Judoka from Hollywood, and they talk about various topics around Judo. They also interviewed many successful people of the US Judo scene.
Zero to Travel Podcast (English): Show that living the dream lifestyle is possible. The guests explain to the audience their way to be able to travel the world.
Witch, Please (English): Two PhDs analyze the Harry Potter books and movies. Every episode, they give me a completely different look at the books.
